THE NFL LOWDOWN PLAYOFF EDITION 2011

Accountability is defined as an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility for one's actions.Yesterday Jim Irsay (A MAN WHO IF HE WAS ON FIRE I WOULDN'T PISS ON HIM TO PUT IT OUT) did something  that George Steinberner and Al Davis would have been proud of. Coming off of a 2-14 season Irsay not only told Bill Polian to get to stepping, but he looked around and saw his son and fired his ass too.All of this because Peyton Manning got injured and couldn't play all year. No he fired his ass because he was the one responsible for putting this shitty ass team together that depended on Peyton for everything. Irsay has fans, season ticket holders and an organization that he oversees and there was no way in hell he was going to let this shit slide. His thought process was if you are going to hitch all off your shit to Peyton's wagon then you are going to go down with that shit too. Irsay did not let personal feelings interfere with logical business perspective when making the decision to fire Polian. A message was sent through out the entire organization that 2-14 is not acceptable and I don't care what you your name or creditinals are if you fail me and fuck my money you will be held directly responsible. Bill Polian's only mistake was believing in Manning's invincibility. Instead of building a championship team, he had a collection of talent that was put together with the sole purpose of supporting and taking direction from Manning. If he had it to do over again I bet you Polian would have had stronger personalities in that lockeroom and more play makers across that defense. In the NFL and in business there is no room for compassion or second guessing. Irsay did what he had to do to keep his franchise from becoming like the Deadskins or Orioles. Polian was just the first step in the accountability game. Look for more heads to role and players to leave because when you go 2-14 no one is safe and that includes you Mr Manning. Now onto the LOWDOWN.
  • WHAT I LEARNED FROM LAST WEEK:
  • Winning is not only the best deodorant in sports, but an easy schedule doesn't hurt either. Raheem Morris benefited from both last year and paid the price for a lack of it this year. He should have used the oldest trick in the book and fired some of his coaching staff and cut the players who didn't give effort and he might still have a job now.
  • I learned that the media celebrates what they want to celebrate, because Matthew Stafford threw for 5,038 yards 41 TDS and had a passer rating of 97.2. Outside of Megatron who in the hell else does he have to throw to. Megatron had 1,681 yards so that still leaves 3,357 yards and 25 tds left. No one mentions him as elite, a MVP candidate or now that I think about he wasn't even ON THE FUCKING PRO BOWL TEAM. All he did was in a division with the Packers and Bears guide his team to a 10-6 record and a playoff berth. When you are handing out accolades this post season just remember the name Matthew Stafford and the fact that he plays for the Lions and that alone should be enough.
  • I learned that Ray Rice is underrated. I think it has to do with the fact that he plays on a team that features T Sizzle,Sugar Ray, Ed Reed and Haloti Ngata. His 2,068 yards from scrimmage may in fact lead the NFL and should garner him MVP talk, but when you play on a team with the before mentioned players and you are not a self promoter you tend to get overlooked. I notice your work Ray and you have made a believer out of me.
  • I learned that there is no way and the Romeo means no way that the Dallas Cowboys as presently constituted can win anything except for Buffoon of The Week awards. How many more years must we accept their laydownish, weak minded, moronic, unconstitutional, buffoonish, no heart having play out on the field in money games? If I was running the Cowboys I would start by getting rid of that foul smelling stinch of losing that inhabits the billion dollar playpen. Any front office personnel that is affiliated in any way with Jerry Jones needs to go. How can motherfuckers that only know losing and the word yes sir all of a sudden guide a franchise to a winning culture? As long as Jerry is the GM and President of player personnel the franchise will continue to go downhill. He and only he is responsible for that wackass secondary and clueless ass defense out there on that field. Jerry is the reason why Tony Romo runs around in the pocket like a convict being chased by the Police because of that bullshit ass line he put together. And can someone please tell me where we got that center from who thinks he is snapping the ball to Yao Ming instead of a normal size man. The name of the Cowboys playbook is called insanity because they must believe in that shit if they think all of a sudden they are going to win a Super Bowl with this current roster. Keep Romo, Ware,Whitten, Murray, and Bryant and get rid of the rest of those bastards. The Cowboys problems are bigger than the space I have to write them down, so I am going to quit while I am ahead.
  • Two men who have something to prove in the NFL Jerry Jones and Bill Polian
  • After thinking about it for sometime now I can no longer disrespect ARod and I believe he deserves the MVP award this year. All he did was lead his team to a 15-1 record with a QB rating 0f 122 with 45 tds and only 6 ints. Those numbers are sick. I will argue that Brady is a better QB, but ARod hadn't loss in almost a calender year and he is the total package. I apologize for letting personal feelings get in the way of logic.
  • I learned that no one can fix the Deadskins as long as Snyder is overseeing the team and I wouldn't have it any other way.
  • In a year in which Ed Reed and Ray Lewis have clearly lost a step a new force has emerged to lead the Ravens defense and his name is TSizzle captain and co founder of Ball So Hard University. He covers, plays the run, and is one of the best pass rushers in the game. Just ask Big Ben. I think this is the best I have ever seen him play and he is my pick for the Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Rex Ryan is directly and indirectly responsible for the poor season the Jets had. Who in their right mind outside of Avon Barksdale or the late Al Davis would put Plaxico Burress and Santonio Holmes together with Cromartie and Bart Scott and  not expect the worst. No but it only gets worse Rex named Holmes as a captain on the team. That's the equivalent of having Pacman Jones be a mentor to one of your kids.Rex not only over valued his ability to coach and get the best out of anybody, but instead of giving Sanchez better weapons he handcuffed him and helped in him regressing as a QB. Leave the personnel decisions to the front office, coach your defense up, hire Norv Turner if he is fired to coach and mentor Sanchez and pick your spots on when to run your mouth.
  • Harbaugh's ability to turn the 49ers around has caused GM's around the league to become even more impatient. What he did with 49ers this year should garner him the Coach of the year award and Alex Smith should give him some of his bonus money.
  • Carson Palmer is still playing for the Bengals and he doesn't even know it. With the loss to the Chargers Sunday Carson secured the Benagals a berth in the playoffs and multiple first round picks in which to improve their team even more. Carson hasn't been the same for years and the Raiders got what they deserved for gambling on his ass. Typical Raiders.
  • Last but not least. If i had to predict it right now I would pick the PATS, RAVENS,PACKERS AND GIANTS for the final four.
  • I'm out like Rob the fakeass Ryan and that clueless ass defense of his.

for awhile I've tried to figure something out which is how do these NFL owners make money? Televised games, endorsements etc... So I think about Jerry Jones who just a few years ago flipped the bill for a new stadium. Now jerry and myself have one thing in common we both love money so how do you get more of it you position yourself to do so. Jerry for some reason has forgot this way of thinking. He rather spend money without positioning himself to make more. Ig I see you've decided not to comment I feel as though its my duty to do so.
I will give three things that must happen for the boys this off season:
1. Hire a real GM this should be in place anyway. Every successful NFL franchise has this in place whether its successful is a different story but in most cases it is.
2. Hire a offensive Coordinator the head coach is just that the head coach not the head coach/offensive coordinator/GM bullshit. I don't like Jason Garrett as head coach I've said this before so with that said as a head coach if you don't trust your QB change him. Don't get on national tv and lie to me.
3. Although I had higher expectations for rob ryan's defense I realized two things:
1st how can he teach his massive playbook in a shortened pre-season. Rob Ryan's defensive playbook is different from the wade Philips ran defense.
2nd there is no talent on the defensive side outside of D Ware, J Ratliff, Lee. The secondary is horrible I've seen high school teams cover downfield and TACKLE better.

jerry do me a favor and grow some balls. I know Garrett got pictures on you with that lamp shade but it happened and its over.

I like the giants to hang around in the NFC playoff picture but destiny is rematch of the year will be Saints vs. Packers. Which offense will win it?
