THE LOWDOWN SUPER BOWL EDITION 2012

When the Gmen defeated the Pats the first thing I tweeted was "BRADY TRYING TO CATCH MONTANNA IS LIKE KOBE TRYING TO CATCH JORDAN. THE UNIVERSE AND SPORTS GODS DON'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN." With all things being equal Brady and Kobe should have zoomed past their counter parts years ago. Let's look at the parallels surrounding their circumstances. Brady and Kobe both won their first three championships that they played in, but the credit for their success was given to others. Bellicheck, Vinateri and the Pat's defense were given all the credit for their Super Bowl wins, despite the fact that Brady was the one leading the charge. Shaq and Phil received all the credit for the Lakers titles like Kobe was some scrub who came along for the ride. Go back and watch the film and you will see Brady looking flawless while putting his team into position to win each Super Bowl. This is not figure skating or the BCS, so it doesn't matter that each game was one by field goals. A win is a win.Fast forward years later. Kobe had to break away from Shaq and lead a brand new Lakers team to victory, but not before he loss two NBA Finals in a row also.Kobe was not given the credit for being the designated 4th qtr closer on those Lakers teams because Shaq was the first option and a dominating force.Kobe haters would hold this against him even though he averaged 25 5 and 5 during the championship run. Brady himself quarterbacking a brand new Pat's regime has also loss two Super Bowls in a row.With the emphasis no longer on Vinateri or the Pat's defense Brady much like Kobe is the undisputed face of his franchise. I know you are all sitting at home saying they had their chances and they are just not as good as Jordan and Montanna. Wrong Brady and Kobe also have something else in common, because of the arrogance and short sightedness of their front offices and head coaches they have not been given the supporting casts that their talents deserve.Sure Kobe has won two more championships, but he did so while suffering through years of never having a top notch point guard or wing man. Imagine Kobe playing with Rondo,Paul, Williams,Parker, Nash or even Andre Miller or Billups as his PG. He played with Smush Parker, Chucky Atkins, Jordan Farmer and Fisher(NO DISRESPECT BUT FISHER CAN ONLY HIT THREES AND TAKE CHARGES). To put it in perspective that means no transition game, no fast break, no easy buckets, no highlight reel dunks and no alley oops. Kobe had to create offense on his own while playing with guys who he had to personally set up.Last time I checked Kobe played SHOOTING GUARD not point guard. Brady was forced to play with two tight ends, a midget wide receiver, Chad Johnson who lost his swagger and game, a law firm at running back  named BennJarvis GreenEllis and Woodhead, and any other midget 5th round pick that Bellicheck could get his hands on and he led them to the Super Bowl. The difference between the Giants and the Pats was one thing talent. The Pats led by Brady believed that they could win, but the Gmen led by Eli and that Nascar Package pass rush knew they were going to win.If Brady played with Andre Johnson, Megatron or hell if he had the Dallas Cowboys offensive weapons he would have more than 3 rings by now. Brady needs to speak up now and change his fortunes before the one thing even he can't defeat  Father Time sneaks up on him and takes him out. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of Brady's nor do I feel sorry for millionaire, pretty boys with models for wives. I'm just saying that when I look at him and Kobe I see two guys that have given their all for their franchises all while playing at a high level despite who they were given to play  with. I don't  know what their franchises see in them, but they both had the potential to be the best ever, and I'm afraid that their talent along with their drive to be the best will be wasted long before they fulfill their promise.Enjoy Brady and Kobe now because when they are gone I have a feeling that you will not like what you will be forced to see.Lakers and Pats you still have time to do the right thing and win championships. Brady and Kobe you can either sit by and watch your legacy play out or you can stand up and say something and hopefully take your place at the top of MT. RUSHMORE. MontanNa and Jordan would have never played with mediocre talent in their prime then again their organizations would not have allowed it to happen. Once again I say THE SPORTS GOD'S FOR SOME REASON DON'T WANT KOBE AND BRADY TO PASS JORDAN AND MONTANNA AND NOW ALL OF YOU HATERS CAN REST AT NIGHT KNOWING THAT YOUR IDOLS ARE SAFE. I'm out like the Hoody and the rest of the Pats.
